SAVINGS:

Goal: Keep as much as you can for an important need

Danger: You can save too much and miss out on life

Advantage: It is the safest way to handle money

Testing Stage:

Testing of parts of software, especially where code by two different engineers must work together, falls to the software engineer.

DEBT

Function: borrowing money.

Goal: Get what you want now and pay later

Danger: You can go bankrupt

Advantage: It makes more money than any other group.

Example: Credit cards, check cashing places

Architecture Stage:

The architecture of a software system refers to an abstract representation of that system. Architecture is concerned with making sure the software system will meet the requirements of the product, as well as ensuring that future requirements can be addressed. The architecture step also addresses interfaces between the software system and other software products, as well as the underlying hardware or the host operating system.

Function: giving your money away.

Goal: Help others out

Danger: People can become dependent

Advantage: You help the community

Example: Giving money to a charity

The goal of Community Connection is for us to break the gap between the community and the school. We want to explore the social issues in the community and to demonstrate ways in which people are making a difference. At times, this will mean interviewing experts on social issues. It might mean a professor, a social activist or a volunteer for a local organization. Other times, it might mean sharing one's reflections on the service project in IMPACT or the Social Awareness Club.

In the end, we hope to share the positive ways that people make a difference in the community, while at the same time taking an honest look at the hard issues in our community.

Time: 2-10 minutes

Format: interviews, reflections, clips from service activities
