Social Voice Video: Maryvale Village

WE WILL BEGIN ADDING CLIPS IN 2009

Every community has a story. Sometimes it goes unspoken, with voices silenced by violence or by a language barrier. Other times, it is spoken, but lost in translation. Sometimes there are competing narratives - a battle between sides, a question of who is the hero and who is the villain.

Our goal is to tell the current story of the Maryvale Village, a segment of Phoenix where our school is located. We want to explore the pros and cons of the community, the issues that we face and the stories of triumph. We want to tell the history of the people and of the actual Maryvale Village location.

In essence, we want to express the social voice of our immediate community.
